Spent some time on the Dulux website today. And I was amazed.
Its a great example of great design, useful functionality, innovative use of Flash and integration with their above-the-line campaign. There is a depth to the site that you wouldn’t expect from a paint manufacturer.
It also lends itself to the introduction of some nifty Web2.0 features. Photo sharing of before and after pics, tips and advice from DIY’ers that have been through the challenges of home improvement, shared colour schemes and community feedback/suggestions, a paint colour creator – that then has the users voting on the next seasons hottest colours, plus many more.
I see that the developer is a company called Six Million Dollar – can’t help wondering if it is because Dulux paid 6 bar for the site.
